The Cyphoma gibbosum or Flamingo Tongue Snail lives in North Carolina, the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, and off the coasts of Northern Brazil and the Lesser Antilles. Their shells aren’t naturally colorful—they produce the strikingly beautiful patterns on them! In addition to that, they eat toxic gorgonian coral, withstand it thanks to adaptations, and also become toxic, as a form of defense!
