I received this award from Amnesty International on the anniversary of my father’s martyrdom, may God have mercy on him, who was martyred as a result of targeting our home as part of the Israeli occupation’s systematic campaign to target journalists and their families! This award is dedicated to the soul of my beloved father and his great sacrifice he made in his life until the moment of his martyrdom. I would like to thank those who chose me for this award, as it does not belong to me alone, but rather I share it with my fellow heroes, brothers and sisters. It is an award for every journalist, male and female, who conveyed the suffering and tragedies of our people, and was the voice and image of the people to the world. This is the reward for all of them; those who died as martyrs paid the price for conveying the truth. Some of them sustained serious injuries that changed the course of their lives. I will not forget those who are detained in the occupation prisons under brutal and harsh conditions. And to all my colleagues in the field, who, despite all the horrors and pressures exerted by the occupation forces, still continue to convey the events with all the capabilities available to them.
