@Nonilex thanks ! that’s quite sobering. regular reminder that life has been trying to kill us unsuccessfully for 2 billion years. someone should try deep sequencing some samples to see what the mutation pattern is. They might be able to tie it back to mechanism. Reminiscent of Balkan kidney damage due to consumption of aristocholic acid (birthwort).
