Another federal judge, this time from the US Dist Court for the Western District Of Washington at Tacoma, barred the #military from enforcing the ban on #transgender service members.
“all defendants ARE PRELIMINARILY ENJOINED, pending further order of this Court, from implementing the Military Ban….This includes the #Hegseth Policy… & all other memoranda, guidance, policies, or actions issued or forthcoming implementing the Military Ban or the Hegseth Policy.”

“The govt's arguments are not persuasive, & it is not an especially close question…. The govt's unrelenting reliance on deference to #military judgment is unjustified in the absence of any evidence supporting 'the military's' new judgment reflected in the [#transgender] Military Ban—in its equally considered & unquestionable judgment, that very same military had only the week before permitted active-duty plaintiffs (& some thousands of others) to serve openly.

“Any evidence that such service over the past 4 years harmed any of the #military's inarguably critical aims would be front & center. But there is none.”

“…The Court therefore enjoins the Military Ban & #Hegseth Policy on a nationwide basis.

“…Absent an injunction, all #transgender service members are likely to suffer the irreparable harm of losing the military service career they have chosen, while otherwise qualified accession plaintiffs will lose the opportunity to serve.”
