Unpopular opinion.
After using Kitty (the terminal) for a week, I changed back to Konsole.
I am sorry, but I do not see any advantage to my usage. And it is weird because for work I use the terminal all day (connect to multiple servers, running tmux, zellij, and similar apps on those servers, big and fast apps that update the screen multiple times per millisecond...).
Probably I am missing something, but I do not find it...
@OdnetninI I'm in the same space is you, I've tried all the different terminals out there and I always come konsole. It just works for me really well and that's what I want. Even on my gnome desktop I have konsole installed.
@fratm I don't really know what is special about it, but it works, it is fast, and does its work flawlesly.... I really think we are missing something. But if it works for us, that is all that matters (for us).
I do not longer run gnome (I mainly drive plasma), but when I run sway or i3, I also use konsole.
@OdnetninI I'll put it this way - use whatever works best for your use. I used to use rxvt-unicode until I swapped over to kitty - I've been happy with what it does for me - even though I've not used probably 60% of it's abilities.
@OdnetninI I made the same experience. Once you’ve set up your terminal environment with the likes of tmux or Zellij, it doesn’t really matter anymore which terminal emulator you choose.
