I just unsubscribed from a #DoubleBass #YouTube guy who published yet another of those click-baity titles that told me “If you’re practicing scales to improve intonation, you’re WRONG!” Come on, don’t insult my intelligence. You’re not really as clever and special as you think you are. I’ll keep playing scales and listening each and every day. Don’t need your BS. #MusicPractice

@davewordnerd I don't know the youtube guy you're talking about but I've practiced a ton of scales in my time and my intonation still sucks. Maybe if the message was scales *alone* won't fix your intonation, he'd be on to something...
@thrillberg I hear you. I guess my real objection is to this YouTube trope of grabbing clicks by saying, “If you’re doing this, you’re wrong.” Happens all over YT, is always insulting. He could’ve said “here’s a good intonation exercise.” But no, whatever we are all doing is just wrong. Ehh. He doesn’t need my subscription.
