The question was not which fly I use, but how I needed to cast it to reach my target 
There were two options: a side cast through the 3-foot gap under the tree, or a roll cast through the 3-foot space between the trees growing on both banks 
Which one was it?
I used both, but no trout
At least my fly didn't get caught by trees
