A historic house in Lahaina, Hawaii, survived the devastating wildfires that destroyed most of the neighbourhood. The house, built in 1925 and recently renovated by its owners, is now known as the “miracle house” because it stands alone amid the charred rubble. The owners revealed that one of the key factors that saved their house was replacing the asphalt roof with metal, which prevented flying embers from igniting it. #hawaii #wildfires #miracle
