@palin I hope people participate. It’s delightfully hard to go back to a platform after a hiatus and this might actually make a dent. Especially if it was repeated. @lovelylovely
I only have FB, and I'm working up the nerve to nuke my account there. If I can't do that -- for one thing, it's the only way my family stays in touch -- I will definitely observe the "Meta strike".
@palin @lovelylovely Better yet, quit Meta altogether. It’s easy and quite satisfying.
@Dawilson999 @palin @lovelylovely I did, almost ten years ago, and haven't missed it in the least.
But I will add one caveat: If you use Facebook (or Twitter, or any other social media account) to log in to other sites, you might want to disable it first--but not delete it entirely. Give it some time to discover if you need the account to sign in to something else, change those sign-ins, and delete completely later when you're sure it's safe.
@lovelylovely Find out how even more companies donated through Good Unite Us. On the internet at https://www.goodsuniteus.com and also an app that I downloaded through the App Store.
@PamelaBarroway @lovelylovely Been turning back to this app again recent. Curious to know how up to date it is though. I know it was a big app to use in 2017.
@foodnpolitics @lovelylovely Good question! It has been getting a lot of play since the election.
@lovelylovely Ford did not. Twice.
@lovelylovely
"Ford" is listed twice in the blue zone
@lovelylovely But Lowe’s ended their DEI hiring practices so they’re off my shopping list.
@lovelylovely Then there’s the companies and C-suites that play both sides, because the almighty dollar overshadows all else
@lovelylovely
I already see some whose emails r getting cut off.
#HomeDepot & #Walmart have some insanely HIGH prices on items U don't have 2 buy there anyway!
I guess it's Lowe's today for more razor blades and Goo Gone for my (unauthorized) table cleaning project at work.
Laughing at The PGA not supporting. I guess they feel DT's been more of a turn-off for other folks getting into the game.
@lovelylovely excellent! I just shared with my peeps. I recently noticed that I can order from Target and get a similar deal as from Amazon including free shipping which should make it easier to quit Amazon Prime . . .
@lovelylovely but Target has pulled their Pride Month merchandise in some cities due to complaints from often violent homophobes, rather than stand up to it. There are other past issues as well. As always, if you have the time & means to look elsewhere, you're encouraged to do so!
@paulkruczynski As of right now Target hasn't cancel their diversity equity and inclusion as of yet that i know of, was this a recent move by target to pull their Pride merchandise? I remember that happening a couple of years ago I think it was.
@lovelylovely it was a few years ago, but they continue to not stock it in all stores. Presumably, it's based on complaints only, because it wasn't their policy before the recent rise in anti-lgbtq+ protests.
