You know, a large proportion of that #EV is also #plastic: tyres, entire interior, bumpers, wiring, wheel caps, mud guards, lights, …. The electric car would not exist without an oil/gas well. (Yes, there's bioplastics, but they're not economically competitive and equally harmful.) So it's not lithium mine vs. oil well: electric #cars need both. Their production is very destructive to the nature. So is use, via #microplastic emissions.

With the reduced use of #oil for fuel, fossil plastic #petroparticles will become even more competitive compared to #bioplastic (which is not any better anyway). The #fossil industry is preparing for this, building capacity to churn out more garbage to drown the world in.
