There’s a film scene between two character played by D Hoffman and Gene Hackman where Hoffman is talking about people yearning for truth & justice. Hackman scoffs that the average American doesn’t give a damn about justice, they want to sit in their barka lounger and let the cable tv wash over them…yeah, I think a lot about that scene….how did they let it happen…apathy…kindness and empathy don’t matter if you don’t care.
