I really do hope that Mastodon is scaleable and takes off. The reason I've chosen this place over Post is that I like the decentralized, federated structure. It's my key priority after seeing what one damaged billionaire could do to a well-established corporate platform so quickly. I would rather invest my efforts right now in the micro-blogging platform least vulnerable to the whims of a rich dude with a God complex.
@ChristyCeeCK I think maybe #mastodon already took off. It has been sailing along for a number of years now. It doesn't look like that other place and it doesn't act like it either. Support your admin and #TipYourServer because these things don't just pay for themselves with toots and boosts.
But your microblog will be welcomed and your words won't be weaponized by others who seek to make money thru targeted, 'entertaining' harassment.

@ChristyCeeCK It's been really nice to have a place to go where you can create #community without ads, and algorithms and manipulation. It's easy to #curate a meaningful experience and #support and #Raise up the voices who have been stifled by #Corporate all this time.
