The 2025 NACHC Women's Handball Championship (North American and Caribbean) is ongoing this week in Mexico City. Canada has beat Puerto Rico and the United States but has lost to Cuba. They have day off Thursday, then play Mexico before the finals on Saturday.

This tournament is a qualifier for the Worlds this fall.

Went to check on 3 bald eagle nests today and 2 of them are occupied. Incubation period is 35 days. Should hatch at the end of the month.

Here's a photo of one of the nests taken with a telephoto lens this morning on Vancouver Island. Photo extremely cropped not to give any details about the location of the nest and protect this family of eagles from the crowds.

I hate to say it, but a vote for the NDP or Greens in my riding will only increase the Conservatives' chance of winning the seat. A Poilievre as PM would be a disaster—just look at what's happening south of the border. Progressives need to vote Liberal and then pressure the Liberal government to honour the desires of their progressive supporters.
