FYI for anyone curious about using #cannabis for pain. Most of the studies seem to be on using it for #ChronicPain, but those suggest it works best when there's a roughly equal amount of THC and CBD in the dose.

Start with a dose of 5mg of both. Increase after a week if needed.

(I'm not a doctor. I'm just relaying results of my reading.)

There are few effective treatments for many types of #chronicpain. This writer knows, having tried them all. So he writes about it. And it helps ease the pain. It might seem farfetched, but scientific research has demonstrated that writing can reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety and mental anguish in general, and because chronic pain has a significant mental component, writing can help ease physical pain, too. Wise & Well · How Writing Heals My Chronic Pain - Wise & Well - MediumBy Randall H. Duckett

My body pain is rather curious. I'm not sure how long it's been going on at this constant level, but I think far shorter than the time I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or ME/CFS.

No matter how much I stretch, take hot showers, or use heating pads to leech the pain away, it doesn't reduce even slightly. It's like I'm trying to escape my body, but the skin refuses.

And the much-vaunted "just exercise to get healthier" is as unattainable as anything I can imagine.

Relatable?

Today is one of those weird #Fibromyalgia moments that health advisor who /don't/ have #ChronicPain don't realise or think about.

We're often told to do exercise, something physical, because inertia can make the pain worse.

While all those are accurate enough... moving, doing physical tasks and exercise, make the pain worse. And no, there's no after-exercise drop in pain levels either.

Sure, one is "healthier" than the other.

But Fibro=Pain, no matter what you do.

So...we cope. Kinda.

I have, temporarily, had to stop wearing bras.

The amount of pain I'm in on any given day is currently being exacerbated by wearing a bra that is at least 2 times too small for my (apparently massive) tits.

So, until I can get/afford some nice, new, comfy bras, I shall be letting them hang free.

It's a shame the rest of the constant full body agony isn't as easy to deal with.
