Today, we provide a tl;dr on “Bankrupt Crypto Organizations," by @profthebruce.bsky.social, @andreatosato.bsky.social, & @chrisodinet.bsky.social. Bankruptcy forces centralization, disclosure, & hierarchy, all contrary to the crypto ethos. So that is a distressed crytpo org’n to do?

The new top tens are out, and the big development is that @chrisodinet.bsky.social and @andreatosato.bsky.social now have slipped into the #2 slot with Crypto & Property behind their #1 smash hit BCO co-authored w/ @profthebruce.bsky.social

During the trump first term he “negotiated” the replacement of NAFTA with a new agreement. Less than two months into his second term he unilaterally tears it up and starts a trade war.

Let’s juxtapose that with trumps extortionate attempts to make a “deal” with Ukraine. First for rare earth minerals and then for a wider peace deal with Russia.

Given what we know about both trump and putin and their “honoring” agreements would you be willing to sign?

my sweetie’s book has just been accepted by a publisher. you go girl!

the problem is, they have two levels for this.

the first one wants $4,000 dollars up front!

the second option is around $200, again. up front.

this puts me in mind of a famous essay about the record industry’s contracts, titled, “Some of your friends are already this fucked.”

Luci’s *not* stupid, but I’m still a little wary.

any advice on how I should bring up the subject?

A quick post on Dellinger v. Bessent, in which a District Court upheld the power of Congress to protect some federal employees by statute. This will shoot up to SCOTUS and might be an opportunity for it to revisit Humphrey’s Executor. The Court is poised to embrace an extreme version of the Unitary Executive theory, which would allow the President to terminate any federal employee, even those whom Congress tried to insulate from caprice.
