Because journalists claim to be the world explainers, the intellectuals, the smart ones. This arrogance paired with their proven unwillingness to educate themselves, and to change the way they work is why the necessary cultural change can't happen.

Same goes for fictional media. Novel writers, script writers, directors: no more scenes with cars, no more scenes with planes and yachts, no more depicting the gluttony of the rich as desirable lifestyle.
No more Oscars dressed in latest fashion outfits.

No more!!

I hate them. I hate them all. And I hope, they'll be suffering the most horrible deaths when the climate crisis comes for all of us.

And I hate Stuart Kirk in particular for writing "You really want the lights to go out? Mindlessly cutting finance to coal, oil or gas companies makes no sense. Better to engage, help them transition, and spur the economic growth needed to invest in renewables.
"
May you live in interesting times, Stuart Kirk, the Chinese version!!

https://www.ft.com/content/9b9cda60-b3a2-4cb3-bbaf-b66c224396dc

If you ram a paywall, click the link in this post https://bsky.app/profile/financialtimes.com/post/3lkvvkjzfge2n
