@samir No, as a chemist I think that’s totally fine.
But what really puzzled me after moving to #Canada is that when people are talking about their “hydro bill” they don’t mean their water bill but rather their electricity bill because in many places the electricity provider or producer have “hydro” in their name as some (but not all) comes from #hydro electric power plants.

I got a rushed message from the failed PC MPP candidate for Scarborough SW today that Stephen Lecce will be announcing energy priorities for the province tonight at 6pm at Scarborough Legion 13 (1577 Kingston Road)

WHAT: announcement of priorities and initiatives from Ontario's Minister of Energy and Electrification

WHEN: 6 pm, Thursday 5th Dec

WHERE: Royal Canadian Legion Scarborough Branch 13 1577 Kingston Road Scarborough, Ontario M1N 1S3

Icelandic Election Set to Usher In a Green Energy Boom

"The expansion that’s likely to be unleashed as a new government comes in may see more #hydro and #geothermal plants emerging across Europe’s most sparsely populated country. #Iceland’s first wind farm, run by the national power company Landsvirkjun, is due to join the grid in 2026 and several other #WindParks are on the drawing board. Harnessing of solar and tidal power remains an option too."
