Just got home after spending all evening in hospital (actually two different hospitals and an ambulance) wIth another #SVT. This time the #MVM didn’t fix it and I was in SVT with a heart rate above 200 BPM for three hours. Different accompanying symptoms this time, including blood pressure so low they couldn’t get a reading. 90/45 was the last successful one before it went too low to register.

I’m all good again now, just exhausted from the exertion without exercise.

May have to reconsider that #ablation the #cardiologist wanted me to have. Will email in the morning.

@ianRobinson Thank you. ☺️

I’m on the same meds as you are, and carry a 10ml syringe around with me these days so I can do the #MVM if I need to. They treated me with that in resus, although it was super quick and felt more… violent somehow. They held my legs up for two minutes before it worked, but it worked - HR went from 205 to 104. I was gobsmacked, but relieved.

SVT incident this morning. The first one since 18th of December. I was thinking yesterday that it hadn’t happened for a while. Jinxed it.

Heart rate jumped to 152 bpm as I was standing at my desk leaning forward to login to my computer.

The first MVM stopped it. Rate dropped to 58 bpm. Then bounced to 70bpm. Which is typical after doing an MVM.

Still too early to tell if the Bisoprolol beta blocker is reducing the number of incidents.

TIL that taking Bisoprolol beta blocker doesn’t prevent me getting SVT attacks. I had one this morning at 06:25. It woke me. The MVM that has stopped most of them in the last year didn’t work today. Tried 3 times over about 50 minutes. SVT stopped by itself after an hour. The SVT heart rate was lower due to the beta blocker. About 115 average rather than 130 average before I started on Bisoprolol. But 1 data set isn’t enough to draw conclusions.

Updated my SVT* tracking spreadsheet and notes in prep for my teleconsultation with a cardiologist tomorrow.

Since I learned about and started to do the MVM when I get an SVT attack, most (34) have only lasted a few minutes as the MVM stopped them immediately. Six lasted about 30 minutes, and three about an hour. The longer ones were stopped by an MVM after a few attempts.

Before I started using MVM, three lasted for 17, 10, & and 6 hours!

I've been tracking the days I have had an #SVT incident in a Numbers spreadsheet since the first one on 03/01/22. Of course he has, most people who know me will say!

On the 623 days since the first, I've had 60 days with an attack. See picture. Five days had two attacks for a total of 65. Frequency increasing. Cardiology appointment in 4 weeks.

I discovered the #MVM technique in January this year. It stops the attacks. After a few goes in some cases. See mastodon.social/@ianRobinson/1 for SVT info.

Another SVT heart-racing incident. It started at 12:55 when I was sitting in my recliner chair. Heart rate jumped to 156 bpm (as reported by Apple Watch).

My posture was bad as I was reading my iPhone screen close to my face with my glasses off. I’m convinced that a hunched posture triggers many of the incidents.

A MVM stopped it at 13:30. Rate dropped to 80 bpm.

First SVT heart-racing incident this morning since the 19th June. Started at 08:45 as I was at my desk. I’ve noticed that I’ve had bad posture just before numerous SVT incidents. Hunched over a keyboard or an iPhone. Maybe it changes the pressure in my chest and that partly triggers the wacky heart electrical activity.

A MVM stopped it at 09:24. After a few MVM attempts didn’t in the 40 minutes it was occurring.

I was woken twice by SVT heart-racing incidents last night. At 03:22 and then again at 04:53. Doing a strenuous MVM* stopped both.

I’ve had incidents on 53 of 524 days since the first on 3rd Jan 2022. So 10% of days. The attached chart shows when. I'm keeping this data for future medical appointments.
