#ThePeople of Missouri are frequently overruled by our GOP legislature as we try to drag our state out of the 19th century

Lived my whole life in #TheOzarks because everyone I know is here and I can't afford to get them all out. I can barely afford to leave myself.
So I will #StayAndWork for change.

In #TheOzarks, looking for #seeds for plants that will feed a wide variety of #beings including #birds and #moths and of course #bees and even #flies Not just pollinators tho. I live in an area with #humankind in need of #shelter and they walk so much. If I can offer a nutritious snack at the edge of the sidewalk, I'd like that too. #baskets of fruit are great but to pick a #berry would be cool I think.

Try to imagine what #TheOzarks were like before #capitalism capitalized the 'new world.'
It's almost impossible to do, as the #People who *were* here were attacked by #greed long before the actual #colonizers set foot in these hills
My little family has mostly discarded boring flavorless #CommercializedHolidayTradition.
Today my son, my daughter + her husband + their 3 children will join my guy and me and we will eat #slowcooker pot roast and veggies and some #trifle and assemble a trampoline :)
