#BDS / Norway's Wealth Fund Divests from Bezeq Over West Bank Settlements
#Norway's $1.8 trillion sovereign wealth fund, the world's largest, has divested from Israeli telecommunications company #Bezeq due to its provision of services to Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. This decision follows a stricter interpretation of ethical guidelines by the fund's Council on Ethics, which deems such activities as violations of international law.
This is the first divestment since the Council's policy change in August and follows previous divestments from nine other companies operating in the occupied territories. More divestments are expected.
