If you're looking for a reliable and responsibly moderated Fediverse server to sign up on or move to, I run a website that lists them:
All servers listed comply with the Covenant (https://fedi.garden/about-this-site/) and have opted in to being listed.
Follow the site's account to keep up to date on the latest servers added to the site:
If you want help with moving a Mastodon account to another server, here's a step-by-step guide:

Is it possible yet to move your whole account?
I won't move again until it is and I find it frustrating when I see "new" accounts where I may be interested in following, but nothing shows up about them because they moved recently and, sadly, haven't written (another) intro.
I'm not sure what you mean by "whole account"? Do you mean moving posts?
That isn't possible (yet), but the link to your profile on old posts will redirect people to your new account.
It will open it in another window, where, for some weird reason, you aren't logged into the Fediverse, so you can't like or comment anything - IF there is a link. I think I have seen that a couple of times, but it is not the rule.
No? If they click on the name on the old post it will taken them to your old profile, which will have a redirect saying you have moved to a new account.
It shouldn't open in another window?
This is on the web interface. Any post given as a URL will open in a new (not-logged-in) window.
I think we mean different things?
I mean the name at the top of a post that someone is browsing from within their own server. It isn't a URL, but a post they have found.
If they click on the name, it takes them to the profile of the author. If the author has moved to another server, there will be a notice redirecting them to the new account on the new server.
