In Dec '22 I did this map:
It was expected to have the First version of Digital Dollar launched by the Fed this July.
But it has not happened.
What it has been announced now is:
- No foresee of CBDC right now.
- Launch FedNow, a payment system that improves the current brokers managed by Visa and Mastercard.
China is more advanced than US

In Spain we have instant payments since 2019 (if my memory does not fail), and this is something still not possible in US...
Let's see how the major banks uses #fednow as they charge a lot of commissions that are now in the air.
