A black and white photo showing a moment in an antique fair booth. Two white framed rococo chairs with ornamental upholstery fill most of the frame. Some miscellaneous sales items add to the background between the back rests. The chairs are set side by side diagonally to us, and two antique rifles have been laid on the seats. On their barrells resting on the seat to the right and closer to us there is a lap size plump cheeked doll boy clad in a woollen blouse and dark suspender overalls.

The doll is neither sitting nor laying down, instead it has been propped against the back rest into a rigid stance. On the left an elderly bearded gentleman in casual summer wear and a straw hat has bent over to inspect the rifles. His right hand is pocketed and the left hand extends to feel the wooden stocks. Faces meet as if for eye contact, but the gentleman’s attention is all for the guns. Their figures form a diagonal v-shaped composition crossed by the dark rifles behind and perpendicular to it.
