Speaking at , gave a long, meandering answer to the question & didn’t even mention or ANY possible to the issue, even though he was asked what SPECIFIC LEGISLATION he would pass.

“It’s a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I’m talking about that, because, look, childcare is childcare. It’s something you know you have to have it,in this country you have to have it” began…

Then went off on a tangent about [unnamed & unexplained] numbers.

“We’re going to be taking in trillions of dollars, & as much as is talked about as being expensive, it’s, relatively speaking, not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers we’ll be taking in. We’re going to make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people,” Trump added, still failing to actually answer the question.

’s answer was somehow worse than the one his running mate, , gave Wed at a Turning Point Action event in when asked a similar question. told *conservative* pundit Charlie Kirk that he would suggest people turn to their family members to help w/ , or, if family members were not available, to loosen education requirements for childcare workers.

Aside from the fact that these answers indicate that the ostensibly *pro-family* Party has poor to making less expensive, they also show ’s increasing . He was asked a straightforward question on how he would make childcare less expensive & the specific he would pursue to make that possible. Trump either had no interest in a coherent answer or wasn’t capable of providing one.

’s campaign had a quick response.

“Billionaire-bought Donald ’s ‘plan’ for making more affordable is to impose a $3,900 hike on ,” Harris camp spox Costello said. “The American people deserve a President who will actually cut costs for them, like VP Harris’ plan to bring back a $3,600 for working families & an expanded $6k tax cut for families w/newborn children.”

Nonilex

Is capable of presenting, or even understanding, substantive ideas? His apparent state says he is not, & coverage seems to gloss over discussions about his condition. Perhaps the upcoming debate w/ MVP next week will finally expose him in front of a national audience.

@Nonilex He was never able to understand anything. Remember that his business school teacher called him the stupidest pupil he had ever had. Go back & watch literally any clip where he tries to talk business or politics at any point in his life. Best (for him) case he just skirts the topic at hand but mostly it's just pure, unadulterated nonsense.

@Nonilex When did you last see him presenting a substantive policy idea?
