Several prominent *conservative* *influencers* [#ConspiracyTheorists & #FearMongers] emerged from the WH on Thurs saying they’d met w US AG #PamBondi & #FBI dir #KashPatel & were given documents tied to the investigation of #convicted #SexOffender #JeffreyEpstein, a case that has become a fixation among #RightWing broadcasters & conspiracy theorists.

The *influencers*—who included political commentator Jack Posobiec, Libs of TikTok’s Chaya Raichik, podcaster Liz Wheeler & Rogan O’Handley, aka “DC Draino”—posted photos of binders emblazoned w/the #DOJ seal & labeled “The Epstein Files: Phase 1."
It was not clear what those binders contained or whether their contents shed any light on the yrs-old case against the disgraced financier, linked to major political & celebrity figures [#Trump] & died by suicide in his jail cell in 2019.

The…meeting [occurred] a day after #PamBondi announced during a FauxNews appearance that she would make the documents public
“You’re going to see some Epstein information being released by my office,” she said, adding that it would include a “lot of flight logs, a lot of names…a lot of information.”
She did not say whether the docs she intended to release were being made public for the first time or if they were among the thousands of pages of evidence already unsealed in years of litigation.
Bondi cautioned that some information would be held back to protect the >250 women & girls victimized by Epstein, but said there would be more releases to come.
Epstein, accused of sexually abusing hundreds of underage girls & young women over a decade, pleaded guilty to 2 felonies in Florida state court in 2008 in an unusual deal that allowed him to serve only 13 months in state jail.
Intense public scrutiny of the case…resulted in #Epstein’s arrest in July 2019 on federal charges of #SexTrafficking minors. He pleaded not guilty & died 1 month later, incarcerated & awaiting trial.
His case remains an obsession for the #RightWing media, #Trump & allies. They have speculated w/o evidence that authorities engaged in a cover-up to protect famous Epstein contacts — who, acc/to #ConspiracyTheories, also participated in his crimes.
