@dustcircle Freewill, in the traditional sense, makes no sense. If the human mind were some kind of prime mover, people's actions would be random. On the other hand, if a person is able to give an explanation to their actions that says more than "It's random", then that person can no longer say they aren't determined. A satisfactory answer to the question "Why?" means there's no free will in the traditional sense.
Now, if you say "I did X because I saw Y and concluded I could not be idle", you're expressing another sense of freedom. You act according to your will. And I think that's what should really matter.
