It was wonderful seeing “Deep Valley” (1947) get the attention it deserves with the #NoirAlley showing this weekend. The last time an Ida Lupino acting role was featured on that program was four years ago!
I hope the next will be much sooner than that. Any chance they could get “Moontide” (1942) or “Road House” (1948)?
@pmbryant
Enjoyed very much. Ida is just a force. How she managed to run through the forest barefoot, well, kudos. Just a minor thing, but it struck me. And lordy, when the was thrown from the car as Barry drove off-- that looked like quite a landing. Ran the gamut. Sad, slowly growing in confidence and happiness, love, hope. I was wrung out by the time it was over. 5 stars for me
@JudyOlo wonderful!
@pmbryant I'd never seen it before. I love when TCM shows things like this way more than when they repeat the same twenty films like a payola rock radio station
