We are so delighted with how these mugs turned out! The designs feature the cover art of the first four books of @katelore’s historical fiction series set in 12th century Japan, Sword of the Taka Samurai. The art wraps around the cup, too.

This is our first time working with Spring. So far so good. We also designed some shirts and sweatshirts, as well as a Cold Blood poster. Link in our profile.

Four mugs lined up, each with colorful stylized historical artwork depicting a woman samurai (Yamabuki) and the title of one of the books: Cold Blood, Cold Rain, Cold Heart and Cold Trail. For Cold Blood, she’s in full Japanese armor astride a rearing black horse. For Cold Rain, she’s riding the galloping black horse through the rain, looking backward, holding a naginata overhead. For Cold Heart, she’s on foot on a mountain trail, wearing an orange kimono, wielding a naginata against a bloodied attacker. For Cold Trail, she’s in full armor, astride her black horse as it rears in the snow as a woman on foot points off in a direction ahead.

@katelore Our deep thanks to the readers who’ve been inquiring about @katelore’s next book. We lost some time due to the pandemic and @LLS’s illness, but we’re still here! Kate has been working on all four of the remaining books in this series simultaneously — meaning we hope and expect to be releasing them in reasonably rapid succession.
