I finished reading my third book of the year last night. Since I read most of it in January, I'll call that three books for the first month of the year, ahead of my two books a month goal.
This is what a few of my friends and i do instead of resolutions. I find playing bingo is way more fun!

Apparently, weighing yourself every two weeks is not enough, in and of itself, to make the number on the scale go down.
I do arts and crafts time 4 times a week. More if I'm feeling ambitious. I recently got gifted a coloring book for my birthday and it's what I've been working on for my arts and crafts time lately. I just finished tonight. Honestly I've never finished a page in any of the coloring books I have. I have a short attention span. I stuck with it this time and I'm pretty happy with it.
Last night I heard a #teenager declare that one of her New Year's resolutions is to stop eating at McDonald's and Burger King.
Remembering something of my own teenage years, that I would absolutely NOT do anything that my parents approved of, I limited my display of overwhelming joy at hearing this to nothing more than a raised eyebrow.
It took me some time to get around to publishing the blog post, but I have already started to work on my New Year's resolutions for 2025. Sustainability, Openness Advocacy, Learning and Health are the overall themes. #NewYearsResolutions

OpenMentions asked about New Year’s Resolutions. These are mine:
My approach to New Year’s resolutions is unsustainably maximalist. I refuse to do anything to rectify this. I will only ever dream big and see what happens! But rather than throwing my never ending list of silly thoughts at you (one item on the list is literally just “wear perfume more”), I’ve picked three to share with you.
My last goal is cheating a bit since I already have some excellent manuscripts booked in!
