@KazukyAkayashi @feudjais j'ai souvent entendu du bien de Movim côté UI/UX, peux-tu décrire ce que tu n'aimes pas ?

Sinon j'ai développé avec Libervia une passerelle ActivityPub <=> XMPP grâce à une subvention NLnet/NGi0 qui devrait fonctionner avec Movim. Je suis très pris et je n'ai pas encore pu faire une release officielle, mais des gens utilisent déjà.

This is an expecially good time to be around #XMPP
#profanity and #poezio were recently updated, while #gajim (and soon #converse.js) got a new major release. These are all #XMPP clients, if you're not familiar with those names: first 2 are console-based, while gajim is a desktop client and converse.js is a web client.
Even #Movim (web client) will have another big release soon, supporting #audio #video #calls and #screensharing.. Want to give it a go? 😊

Hello @barbapulpe, do you happen to know why the video call icon disappears once the first conversation is over on #movim? I created a room to communicate with my Canadian friend through videoconference, but I don't know how to set up the chat to make the video icon always visible and ready to use.

I have tried with the Conversations app, but same problem.

@themimitoof ça n'est pas contre toi du tout. Cette idée que c'est ancien (ce qui est vrai) et dépassé (ce qui est faux) est courante, et ça n'aide pas, déjà qu'on est pas les meilleurs en com' 🙂 .

Des interfaces "fancy" on en a, regarde #Movim (movim.eu/) ou #Prose (prose.org/) par exemple. Je travaille moi même à un redesign du l'interface web de #Libervia.

Niveau fonctionnalités, je pense pas qu'on manque de grand chose, et c'est extensible de toute façon.

@pavot Well Libervia on which I'm working does all of that (and even experimental remote desktop control).

I'm working on web frontend redesign, then stabilisation, and I should work on a release hopefully in a not too distant feature.

Movim also does A/V calls and screen sharing.

Avant Mastodon, que j'ai rejoint il y a... bien 8-9 ans maintenant 😳
J'avais pu passer par d'autres réseaux sociaux décentralisés. Principalement #Diaspora* via l'instance #framasphere, c'était un réseau de blogage décentralisé assez proche de #facebook je dirais.
Et #Movim, un réseau basé sur #xmpp En fait, un genre de client web XMPP qui incluait des fonctionnalités de RS.

Mais, j'ai pas trop de nouvelles de ces réseaux. Sont-ils encore habités? Sont-ils encore fréquentables? Les projets sont-ils encore en développement, évoluent-ils encore?
Bref, ces réseaux/projets sont-ils encore vivant?

Y a-t-il des yunohosteurs qui ont installé Movim ?

Perso l'installation se passe bien, mais il est impossible de se connecter ensuite, le bouton reste "grisé".
Ça semble être récurrent comme bug depuis pas mal de versions mais visiblement toujours aucune solution (alors que les versions de movim montent et celle de yunohost aussi)
L'app est classée bien intégrée ( ⭐ ) ce qui est assez étrange pour le coup...
Les question sur le git reste sans réponse.
