The New York TimesBiden’s News Conference in Vietnam Ignites His OpponentsBy Michael D. Shear

By Mon morning, as the 80-year-old president was flying home on Air Force One, outlets had seized on his end-of-trip news conference as the latest evidence that he is too old to perform on the world stage.

It is a pattern that infuriates the , where ’s top aides believe that stories about the president’s age & health are stoked by his enemies in an effort to undermine his accomplishments.…

To ’s advisers, the political damage is coming not from legitimate questions about the president’s health or stamina, but from what one adviser once described as fake & distorted internet posts.

routinely delivered rambling, often nonsensical speeches & news conferences. He ranted about eagles killed by windmills & told fake stories about the U.S. military running out of ammunition. Often, Trump’s anger-filled diatribes made little sense.

Seriously, President is only 3 years older than .
Biden, bikes, does Pilates & eats a healthy diet.
Trump is sedentary & lives on a fast food diet.

This is the stupidest choice of criticism.

Presidents & those who would be president often boast of their qualifications — their education, their experience, their achievements. And then there is President , who is boasting about his test.

The New York Times · ‘Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV.’ Didn’t Mean What Trump Hoped It DidBy Peter Baker

Even for a president who has rewritten the political rule book so many times before, the spectacle of a commander in chief repeatedly touting his performance on a cognitive examination to prove that he has not lost a step paves new ground in the history of campaigns for the highest office in the land. Rather than dispensing w/the issue, drew new ridicule… when he declared it nothing short of “amazing” that he did so well on a test that, among other things, required him to ID an elephant.

To demonstrate just how hard he said the test really was, he went on TV to recite, over & over, the words that he had been asked to remember in the right order: “Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV.”

…The is meant to test for signs of , ’s disease or other conditions, but the talked about it on Fox News… as if he had aced an IQ test proving his intelligence. Experts said that reflected a misunderstanding about the purpose & value of the exam.

“It is good that he has a good score, & it’s very good that he has a higher than average score, so this is reassuring in terms of cognitive dysfunction,” Dr. Ziad Nasreddine, the neurologist who created the test, said in an interview. “It obviously does not measure whether a person is fit to be president.”

& mean a whole lot more than a 3 year age difference.
