Their hope is that the Nov finally grants hardliners the necessary (read: extra votes) to enact steep spending cuts & policies across a slate of fiscal 2025 spending bills.

“The CR should be into next year, not into the lame duck,” said Rep (R-OH). “Because you want to give the *new president* a chance to weigh in on what we spend & where we spend it.”
